Curriculum Office

The Curriculum Office handles the day to day activities in the school which involves the child’s learning. It handles both academic and co-curricular activities.

The primary one, two and three classes follow the thematic curriculum. All the academic learning is done on themes and in all subjects. The themes chosen are used in all disciplines. Number, English, Literacy A and B. In Kampala Parents’ School we have not embraced teaching in local language because our pupils are multinational.

CAPE and MDD
CAPE is an acronym for creative Arts and Physical Education. CAPE 1 is Music, Dance and Drama. CAPE 2 is Art and technology where children do art work such as drawing, design, tailoring, wood work and CAPE 3 is physical Education for physical fitness. It is supposed to be taught three times in a week in upper classes and five times in lower classes.

All effort is made to help the children get holistic education and give them direction in their academic advancement.

Knowing that people can now earn their living through sports, the school gives children avenues through which they can excel.

The academic activities are stressed knowing very well that it is the main door through which a child goes to explore the world. It is also a way of showing someone’s intellectual capabilities. Several parents whose children have gone through this school give testimony that their Children’s academic performance has never been questioned in the secondary schools where they go.

Principal's Office

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE As children grow, professionals advise us to emphasize three important domains, these are: Affective – This deals with spiritual emotions. The affective domain includes factors such as student motivation attitudes, perceptions and values. Cognitive – The domain is to do with mental process including how people think, perceive, remember and learn. Psycho-social stage – This is all about developing muscles. Learning is developed by physical skills such as movement, coordination and manipulation. In order for the mentioned domains to be realized, the triangular working relationship has to be focused on. The parents, the staff and children have to work together to achieve the required goals. Furthermore, in building a wholesome all around child, compassion, love integrity, cleanliness and above all discipline. We believe that discipline is the key to success. We train our children to observe all of them. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. This cuts across. We respect all, religions and children enjoy freedom of worship. In the addition to the above, these days some parents altered the roles of parenting forgetting that children are a photocopy of their own character. Parents are like rivers from which children fetch values they need living. Homes and schools are important places where children should get quality growth and development plus learning. Teachers should handle children as individuals for they are different from one another. Guard your education for it is your future. “We struggle for the future”
